It's Snowing !!!!!

I have been anxiously waiting all day for it to come and finally late this evening it is finally snowing. I must admit it is quiet pretty. It took about an hour for everything to turn white. Now the roads a coated and all the cars in the parking lot have a good coating of white stuff on them. I am in for the night as I had to do my monthly report. Had a delivery service bring me some Famous Dave's BBQ chicken for dinner. Oh well, I have had my snow for the holiday season.

I was dressed for the weather today. I had on a t shirt, a shirt, a sweater and my scarf and down jacket and my Dr H cap. I was quiet warm.

Well, I think I will sit back now and watch the lighting of the Rockerfeller Center Christmas Tree. Hey pretty cool looking out at snow and watching the show. However, I will be glad to get back to Texas. Enough of this.

I Can't Believe This

TS Epsilon???? How far are we going to go in the Greek alphabet this year. Hurricane season is now officially year round.

By the way, I am in Omaha today. The high was 23. We drove to Carroll, Iowa to meet with one of our distributors and it not only was 23 some odd degrees but the wind was approx. 20 mph. Ouch, it was cold. Oh yeah, did I mention there is a 50% chance of snow for tomorrow. Yipeeeee. Take me back to Texas. Quick.

Feel Sorry For Me

I, for some unknown irrational thinking reason, booked myself to work in Omaha this week. Here is the NWS forecast for the time I am there:

Tuesday: Occasional light snow before noon. High around 26. Blustery, with a northwest wind 18 to 21 mph decreasing to between 9 and 12 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low near 14. West wind between 6 and 9 mph becoming calm.

Wednesday: A 40 percent chance of snow. Cloudy, with a high around 30. Southeast wind at 10 mph becoming north.

Wednesday Night: A 30 percent chance of snow. Cloudy, with a low around 15.

Thursday: A 20 percent chance of snow before noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high around 26.

I don't understand my reasoning for needing to go to Omaha the first of December. Only, to assure Matt that we still love him and that he is doing a good job. What a great boss I am. Could I not have done that by phone. Oh well, tomorrow at 6 AM off I go. Keep me in your warm thoughts and prayers.

Thanksgiving Weekend

What a great weekend. Kathy, Amy and I went to Round Rock to spend the Thanksgiving weekend with Michelle, Jeff and the T Man. What a great time we had. Thank you Michelle and Jeff for inviting us. Thomas was soooooo much fun. Thanksgiving lunch was fantastic, thanks to Michelle and Jeff. They did it all, with a little help from Rudy's. Michelle's pies were awesome. It was good to eat "bad" for a couple of days.

We started off with the Austin Turkey Trot, followed by a day of shopping for the girls and football for the guy's, a bike ride for me and Jeff, a couple of long walks and finally the Chuy's Children's Christmas Parade. So much fun. I will post more on the individual events of the holiday, but thanks to Michelle and Jeff for a wonderful time. We had so much fun. Family is what it is all about and we are certainly blessed with a wonderful family.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS SYSTEM CAN BE FOUND IN HIGHSEAS FORECASTS ISSUED BY THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE...UNDER AWIPSHEADER NFDHSFAT1 AND WMO HEADER FZNT01 KWBC.

They said there was a 10% chance of a Hurricane in December. They may be right.

What's Your Excuse?

I borrowed this picture from John's Blog page. It is very motivating. For those of us who spend a small amount of time "working out" it makes you think about how thankful we should be that most of us have two working legs. I think I will pick up the pace as soon as Lifetime opens. If this guy can run with one leg, I should certainly be able to do more.

In other news, we had a great weekend. Saturday was game day and what a game it was. As I previously stated, never ever leave a Tech football game early. Yesterday was Church day and then shop, shop, shop the afternoon away.

Today finds me on "vacation". Had a little office work to do, but should be finished soon. Taking Amers to apply for her passport this afternoon. We will be batching it tonight as Mom has a dinner meeting. Sounds like a pizza night, the healthy kind.

Well, looking forward to Wednesday when we trek to Austin for a fun time. Lots going on.

New Blog

Ok. I think I am going to get serious about blogging, so I decided to join Jeff and set up a new blog that I can hopefully learn to do more things with.

UNBELIEVABLE !!!!!

It is hard to believe we are only a few days away from Thanksgiving and we are having to deal with another tropical storm, Gamma. This has certainly been a year for the record books. Who would have imagined we would be using the Greek alphabet to name storms. I can only feel for the people of Cancun and Cozumel and of course if it makes it, Florida.
